Acid attack: Bethany Storro speaks to media

After a week when the acid attack took place, Bethany Storro spoke to the media Thursday for the first time. She was attacked by acid-like liquid by a stranger who threw it on her face damaging the skin seriously.

An unidentified woman said, “Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?” just before a cup of acid was splattered on her face.

The incident happened in Vancouver, Wash, to the 28-year-old Bethany Storro who is from Washington.

She said to the media, “Once it hit me, I could hear it bubbling and sizzling in my skin. It was the most painful thing. My heart stopped, I almost passed out.”

She added further that she usually don’t wear sunglasses, but that day when the incident took place, she had amazingly bought sunglasses 20 minutes before the attack. She mentioned the sunglasses saved her eyes from damage.

After the acid attack the lady was taken to Portland, Ore., hospital’s burn center.
