BYU becomes independent, others sports goes to WCC
Mountain West Turns is concluded. Yes, as it appears now. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the talk of BYU is now reconciling with the Mountain West Conference (WWC), though it was a bit premature.
The newspaper also says that BYU will be playing independent henceforth in football. The bulk of other sports of it is being headed to the West Coast Conference.
For the remaining sports of BYU, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation seems to be a rational home for the indoor track for men and women and swimming of women. Well, the MPSF does not sponsor the men’s swimming, softball, and outdoor track and field.
