Fashion’s Night Out 2010

All of the big names in the fashion world got together on Friday in an effort to encourage shoppers that are still worried about the financial crisis to go wild and start a shopping spree.
“Fashion’s Night Out” is the creation of Anna Wintour who is the editor of Vogue magazine. She decided to create an enthusiasm in the hearts and minds of the shoppers to reboot the fashion industry, and encourage them to visit the stores. The Event is taking place for the second time, this time being held in 100 cities around the united states.
Joining in the event are stores around the world including Australia, Turkey, Portugal including fashion centers that participated in last years event.
In NY, over one thousand retailers and brands that include designers such as Alexander Wang and Donna Karan set out to socialize with clients at in-store parties.
Due to the stressful economic situation that marked many families lives, and despite these efforts made by the shop owners, it was considered more of a social event than a motivation for the people to spend there money.
