Iowa DOT Announces Road Closings Due to Flooding

The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) has announced the blockage of roads due to the flood. Due to extreme overflow from heavy rainfall overnight is probable to continue to cause flooding of road paths in different parts of the state. Record flooding is forecast along portions of the South Skunk River from the Ames area to below Colfax. Dot has warned people to make extra cautions while travelling to these areas.

They requested the Iowans to examine conditions and never enter a water covered roadway. If you encounter a flooded area, turn around and do not put your life on stake. Iowa DOT is busy  in assisting the lowans at this time when there is record flood all around.
