Makeda Jahnesta Marley pleaded for growing marijuana

The youngest child of Bob Marley, Makeda Jahnesta Marley, pleaded guilty for growing marijuana at her Philadelphia home. In 2008 she was arrested when, at her Pennsylvania property, cops were called over a domestic dispute. The cops found the marijuana plants from the basement of her house.

29-year-old Makeda Jahnesta Marley pleaded guilty on Tuesday of manufacturing the controlled substance. She also admitted of tampering the physical evidence, as reported by The Daily Local News of West Chester. The report also mentions Makeda said of having about a dozen marijuana plants at her Caln home.

Makeda told to the court that at the age of 18 she had exhausted a trust fund of her father’s estate that she received.

She is due to be sentenced next month. The prosecutors, as part of a plea deal, have withdrawn a mandatory one-year prison sentence.
