stewartdowningPA 450x300 300x200 Manchester United Vs Aston Villa 2 2 Premier League HighlightsManchester United came from two goals down to salvage a draw against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. The hosts were 2-0 thanks to goals from Ashley Young and Marc Albrighton in the second half, but the strikes of the late Federico Macheda and Nemanja Vidic has rescued a point for the Red Devils at Villa Park.

The injury-riddled hosts started the game normally while United was calm and composed so that it is not surprising at the first chance of the game fell to the men of Sir Alex Ferguson. A career pitching for Javier Hernández Villa drew the central defenders James Collins and Richard Dunne to him, leaving Dimitar Berbatov unmarked. The mexican’s toe then drilled a Bulgarian forward pass, and despite appeals for offside flag stayed down. Berbatov, who suffered a lean spell but in the end he was one-on-one with Brad Friedel, but dragged his shot long. The call to attention and almost seem Villa hammered two good chances to score before halftime.

The second period began in the same direction with Villa increasingly likely to break the deadlock. At 53 minutes the home team had their best opportunity. Stewart Downing curled a delicious cross from the left wing.  Patrice Evra, who looked all at sea as Albrighton won on the back of him.

The young winger did the right thing by reducing a header into Van der Sar, but saw his effort go  past the post. United were then shaken, especially Nani  by a organized Villa midfield and defense. After a series of niggling challenges the Portuguese has been reserved to launch an arm on the face of Stephen Warnock. After Luke Young returned the favor by hobbling Nani, Hernandez let the heat get to him and a rash challenge on Albrighton put it behind the net

Villa were more like potential champions United on 66 minutes came closest to scoring. Another great ball Downing chose James Collins and his header off the ball and bounced into the bar with Van der Sar beaten completely. A minute later, the post that saved United. Good job on the left hand thread ball forward Ashley Young, he could not steer and Gabriel Agbonlahor, monitoring, hit a shot against the woodwork. It is not surprising that the pressure Villa finally borne fruit.

A great ball to the right allowed Agbonlahor to stretch their legs against Nemanja Vidic. The English beat the defender of the ball and managed to spray a cross in the box. As Ashley Young  advanced, he was tackled by Wes Brown and there was a clear penalty and Brown was fortunate not to be dismissed. After all the dominant position commanded a cool head and on condition that the young trouble slotting past Van der Sar.

He Woked up the match and suddenly, the game has been expanded beyond recognition. For Villa it was a blessing because they have doubled their lead with the best move of the match and perhaps the season so far. Macheda, who had come on for Berbatov ineffective, lost the ball in half Villa and the home team has crossed the young. His run took him to the edge of the area before he helped the ball on the overlap Downing. His ball into the empty box was perfect and the defense Kingdom tense, Albrighton finally got his chance and planted his shot in the back of the net.

It was exactly what Villa deserved. This seemed to kick United in life for the first time in the match. After a period of constant pressure, Darren Fletcher took the ball on the edge of the area. A fantastic piece of skill provided the ball into the path of Macheda who made no mistake in scoring.

Villa was stunned, and United felt their weakness. Eventually, this pressure, gave results  when the ball rolled over the left from the otherwise quiet Nani, Vidic hit the post back, and he directed his header into Friedel who later scored the equaliser of the match.

Man Of The Match: Stewart Downing He hugged the left touch-line and mounted in some great work that should have brought better rewards. And also orchestrated the second goal with the cross that started everything off.
