Michael Douglas continues to fight cancer

The actor Michael Douglas continues to fight cancer. However the good news is his eight week long radiation therapy and chemotherapy is about to end.

Douglas was diagnosed with throat cancer in the month of August. According to the report the actor will have no other treatment after the completion of the ongoing one.

Alan Burry, the actor’s publicist said that Douglas is extremely happy about the treatment is coming to an end and added there is no further treatment scheduled for the time being.

Burry told People that though the treatment is coming to an end it will take approximately six weeks for the actor to recover. He also added that after this treatment concludes Douglas will need to visit his doctor for periodic check-ups.

Though the radiation and chemotherapy has affected the actor it did not prevent Douglas from being up and about. He walked the red carpet with his wife Catherine Zeta Jones for the premiere of his movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
