NC Lottery winners win real big- 3 new millionaires in the town

The cash splash raffle of NC lottery has thrown up three winning tickets of $1 million. It had initially been decided that the raffle will be held on the 8^th of September but for some reason the draw could not be held on the scheduled date. It has been established that only 200000 tickets had been sold by the 8^th of September- a probable reason for the delay.

The draw only could take place after 299,319 of the total 500000 tickets was sold. The Cash Splash Millionaire raffle of the NC lottery saw three tickets winning big. The top three winners walked away with $1.47 million and what’s more- the initial taxes of the winning amount will be covered by the Education Lottery. There were other prizes too. 8 tickets won $50,000, 30 tickets won $5000 and 560 tickets won $500.

NC Education Lottery representative said that extending the sale of the tickets meant they were able to cover their cost and make a little money for education. Each ticket cost $20.

The North Carolina State government oversees the organization and the functioning of the NC Education lottery.
