Nitrate content ‘behind advantages of beetroot juice’
From a recent report from these days it was in the health headlines that recently a study done in the US journal hypertension found that the blood pressure was decreased and reduced within a time of 24 hours in the people who were known and seen drinking the beetroot juice or taking the nitrate tablets most of the times. The higher the pressure of the blood meant greater was the impact of these nitrates in the body. But the study has shown that even by taking quite small amounts of the beetroot juice can prove to be beneficial for the whole body and it can lower the blood pressure to a good level.
It is hence recommended to the people with high blood pressure to take more of the beetroot juice. It is the nitrate content within the beetroot juice which is responsible for this. It is the substance which makes the blood pressure go lower than it is. This has been now proved by a research also. However earlier also many studies were conducted where it was seen that even by taking a small amount of the beetroot juice the blood pressure came down to a good extent and even if the blood pressure was normal then also it lowered the blood pressure
