Nokia N8 Not Delayed Says Nokia

Nokia said, reports of Nokia denying its N8 touch-screen smartphone are not true. Nokia insists that phone is on tack to ship third quarter of 2010. In a statement Nokia said that reports which stated that Nokia is delaying the shipment of its N8 to make changes to the phone and there is no other reason behind it.

A spokesperson of Nokia said, they still expect to start the shipments by the end of 3^rd quarter and they have advised their pre order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October. Nokia denied the report of delays after The Wall Street Journal published a report and quoted that company decided to hold the shipments for a new weeks to do some final amends.

N8 is the recent attempt to regain market share in the smartphone by Nokia and to compete with Apple’s iPhone and Google Android devices. Initially Nokia said it would deliver the N8 pre-order customers by the end of September.
