Pat McAfee: the true story behind his arrest

Peyton Manning had once termed Mike Vanderjagt as the “idiot kicker who got liquored up” and it seems that Indianapolis Colts have just found the right candidate for that tag. It is their punter Pat McAfee.

The punter made a fool out of himself when he jumped into a canal in the wee hours of the morning and was subsequently arrested on the charges of public intoxication. McAfee was acting extremely strangely and the police had received complaints regarding him from a woman. This aroused the suspicion that the player was drunk.

McAfee had decided to take his predawn swim at the Broad Ripple Canal, in an area well known for its nightlife. The punter was swimming in the canal when he was found a little before 5.00 am.

Earlier at around 4.45 am a woman has called the police and informed them that a shirtless man who was completely wet had tried to get into her car at the Broad Ripple Avenue.

The alcohol content in McAfee’s blood was 0.15 and that is double the level permitted. When McAfee was asked how much had he drunk he said that he had probably had a lot because he was drunk.
