Salt – A Spy Thriller

As anticipated, Salt is a spy thriller, having Angelina Jolie in lead role, inspired from a real life spy story that opened up in the past few weeks. Phillip Noyce is the director of Salt, who presented some great thrillers as “Clear and Present Danger” and “Patriot Games”.  He has ability to create suspense and tension by using his visuals. Actions used by Noyse compliments his story. One can say that Salt is a classic spy movie. This movie is about a spy “Evelyn Salt”, who gets trapped on charge of being double agent.

Angelina Jolie played this character. She is distrusted from both the sides. But what seemed does not happened. Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor along with Angelina have given a masterful performance. The movie is filled with lot of breath taking action scenes. It seems as if Phillip Noyce is bitten by an action bug. But some scenes are unnatural as they defy reality. One can expect a lot more from his side. All together it is a nice movie. Action lovers will love it. And people who used to enjoy a nice mental thriller are also going to be entertained as it is a very nice combination of action and thriller.
