Study: mobile internet growing in US, but still at low pace
The Web-connected counterparts of the Americans i.e. the Japan, the South Korea and some parts of the Europe surpass the Americans over accessing of the Internet through the cell phone devices. The director of Center for Digital Future at the University of Southern California, Jeffrey Cole recently stated that the America is the world’s third country as far as mobiles are concerned. According to him, rest of the nations use cell phones underground like paying for the parking of space blocks or purchasing Coke from the machine. In fact, the calling through mobile phones is still a trouble in the America. However, the scenario is changing gradually, as the Center for the Digital Future last year surveyed and established that about 25% of the Americans are now using mobile phones for internet than just 16% in the year 2008 and only 5% in 2002. Cole also said that now, it is just one single gadget that has taken significant place in everyone’s life and i.e. the mobile devices, used preferably for everything. The web feature in the mobile phones is being used for even small spurts of information like searching the locations, the directions, sports result etc. the mobile phones have become the central media hub and is a substantial utility for the work now.
