The Latest entrant in the geek club: The lesser known Dot Jones

It seems that Sue Sylvester of “Glee” has finally met her match. And her match is the manly female football coach Shannon Bieste. This role will be essayed by actress Dot Jones and she is the latest entrant in the Geek club. And the character has drawn a lot of appreciation in the Season 2 premiere itself. It seems like Coach Biesti is here to stay.

Coming back the Dot Jones, there are quite a few interesting facts about her that are not well known.

Firstly, before foraying into acting Jones was big time into sports. She is the 15 times champion of World Arm Wrestling. She has also tried her hand in power lifting and shot put.

Jones is actually 6.4”. However she is an inch shorter now because of the injuries she sustained during her sporting career. She has suffered 11 knee injuries. After a knee replacement that she plans to get she will be back to the towering 6.4”.

Shirley Eson of “American Gladiators” fame convinced Jones to appear for her very first audition. The audition was for a show called “Knights and Warriors”.
