Tom Hicks sells his team off

Following continuous pressure from the fans, Tom Hicks finally auctioned his baseball team, Texas Rangers. In an auction that drew attention of people all over the globe, hall of fame, Nolan Ryan and lawyer, Chuck Greenberg purchased the team for $ 593 million. The fans are now happy as they think the team is in safe hands.

There was always resentment among the fans of the Texas Baseball team that Tom Hicks was the most incompetent owner ever. The auction however was also in news for another reason which was the rival bid placed by Mr. Cuban, who finally withdrew after Nolan made a call for $ 593 million. Whatever be the reason, the Texas Rangers have found a new owner and seem to be happy with the change.
