Viveka’s was a case of falling for the wrong man

I still see Viveka’s death like a bad dream which will get over the moment I open my eyes and get up from my sleep. It’s yet to sink in that a girl as social and free-spirited as Viveka would take a drastic step like this. As soon as I got to know about the tragic news, I was shocked and one of Viveka’s friends to reach her apartment and rescue her cats.Not particularly an agony aunt but I remember Viveka as a woman who would give opinions and advises to her friends whenever they would need her help. She used to help solve other people’s problems.She was a senior but I remember having modelled with her. After I got into films I lost touch with the girls and won’t know her state of mind in the last few days but I did bump into her at a birthday party some time back and she seemed happy the way her career was going

I am also upset with the media for it is to a certain extent giving out a picture that models in general have suicidal tendencies, are psychotic and lonely. Viveka was social and had friends in the industry, unlike the popular perception.

As far as financial crisis driving her to committing suicide is concerned, the house which she had rented in Bandra, considering the location it was placed in, certainly didn’t come cheap and she was living there for quite some time. She has a big family house in Mauritius and was even planning to buy a new house for herself in Bandra! It’s clearly a case of falling for the wrong man.
