Von Trapp Family, real and reel facts

People in millions are fans of The Sound Of Music that narrates Von Trapp family’s story. The family which was in Salzburg, Austria. The lead role is played by Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews. Christopher is Captain Von Trapp and Julia is Maria. Both falls in love and marries each other after Maria became a governess to the Von
Trapp Children.

Dedicated fans of the movie almost does know every last scene and that too word-for-word, but many even don’t know what actually happened to the family of Von Trapp after moving to Switzerland from Austria.

The film may not be historically accurate for unknown people. Von Trapp in fact had ten children and not seven as it is mentioned in the film. Moreover, the names off all the children has been changed and the family did not moved to Austria out danger. Apart from all these changes, the family also did not flee to Switzerland, but actually to traveled to Italy.
